Nine LGUs in Central Luzon to get P47-M in PCF

City of San Fernando, Pampanga - A total of P47-million in Performance Challenge Fund will be awarded to nine more  provinces and cities of Central Luzon upon completion of documentary requirements.

DILG Region 3 Director Florida Dijan named the additional PCF recipients belonging to the 3rd tranch as the provinces of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac; and the cities of Angeles, Olongapo, Cabanatuan, and San Fernando.

Dijan said  that as recipients of the Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) 2011 Round 2, said LGUs can now access the PCF in the amount of P7-million Pesos for provinces and P3-million for cities, which they must use to support local projects aligned to the achievement of the national government thrust and priorities.

An orientation-briefing for the PCF LGU-recipients was conducted by DILG R-3 recently at the DILG Regional Office here to ensure accountability and clarity of the objectives of the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) guide LGU beneficiaries regarding the administrative requirements and eligible projects.

During the activity, Dijan gave a brief history of the Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) and PCF, and encouraged the LGU representatives to continue complying with the requirements of the SGH to enable them to continuously avail of the PCF Subsidy.
