The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Olongapo City and the City Government of Olongapo conducted the awarding ceremony for the 2019 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) implementation held recently at the Rizal Triangle, West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City.
The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) was established pursuant to Section 406 (b) of the Local Government Code of 1991 which mandates the DILG to grant economic and other incentives to Lupong Tagapamayapa (LT) for their outstanding contributions to attain the objectives of the Katarungang Pambarangay.
DILG City Director Amada Dumagat and Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino, alongside other city officials awarded the plaques of recognition and cash prizes to top performing Lupong Tagapamayapa in the city.
Barangay New Kalalake emerged as the Outstanding Lupon during this year’s implementation of LTIA. Punong Barangay Randy Sionzon, together with the Lupon Members of Barangay New Kalalake received a Plaque of Recognition and cash prize amounting to P15,000. Meanwhile, 1st Runner-up Barangay West Bajac-Bajac and 2nd Runner-up Barangay Kalaklan also received Plaques of Recognition and cash prize of P10,000.00 and P5,000.00, respectively.
The assessment was conducted by the City Awards Committee composed of the DILG, City Prosecutor’s Office, Office of the Executive Judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), Liga ng mga Barangay President, and Vice-President of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC).
Olongapo City continuously strives to attain the objectives of the Katarungang Pambarangay thru the provision of incentives and recognition to top performing lupons through the LTIA program of the DILG.
