The DILG Region 3 (R3), in partnership with the DILG-Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD) and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), spearheaded the conduct of the Online Roll-Out on the Repeal of Policies for Local Government Units (LGUs) on May 12, 2021 via Zoom platform.
DILG Regional Director (RD) Julie J. Daquioag said that the main objective of the activity is to orient the LGUs regarding the DILG-ARTA Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 2019-01 or the Guidelines on the Regulatory Reform for LGUs Pursuant to the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery (EODB-EGSD) Act of 2018 and how to operationalize the Regulatory Reform Information System (RRIS).
In her message, Daquioag encouraged the concept of replication of best practices to help enhance and improve the delivery of services of local governments.
On the other hand, Assistant RD Jay E. Timbreza enjoined the LGUs to continually review, repeal and implement ordinances relative to the EODB in order to attract more investors and businesses to operate within the Region.
