Cuartero beneficiaries receive rice harvesters funded by SBDP

The Department of the Interior and Local Government-Region 6 (DILG-R6) said that four rice harvesters for Barangays Mahunodhunod, Carataya, Putian, and San Antonio in Cuartero, Capiz funded by the Local Government Support Fund - Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF - SBDP) were officially turned over to the beneficiaries on October 4, 2021.

During the ceremony, DILG-R6 Regional Director (RD) Juan Jovian E. Ingeniero expressed his appreciation to the efforts of the Capiz Provincial Government and to the Municipality of Cuartero in securing the agricultural machinery for the farmer-beneficiaries.

"These rice harvesters are the product of the whole-of-nation approach where government agencies work together to deliver priority projects for the Barangays," RD Ingeniero said.

The Province of Capiz was acknowledged by RD Ingeniero for their best practices in the implementation of SBDP projects.

He likewise commended DILG-Capiz Provincial Director John Ace Azarcon and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Rowena Jimenez for providing technical assistance to implementers which helped the local government unit to comply with their requirements for the SBDP Projects and the provision of cash payouts for work beneficiaries of two barangays.

The activity was participated in by Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras, Cuartero Mayor Tito Mayo, Vice Mayor Roger Flores, Major Florante Mabalot Jr. (INF) PA, 12th Infantry Batallion; PCOL Laudemer Llaneta, Acting Provincial Director, Capiz PPO; PDMU Chief Mossad Vincent Araneta, Provincial Agriculturist Sylvia Dela Cruz, Capiz ELCAC Focal Person Gladys Lissete Reyes, Punong Barangays, and Presidents of Farmers Associations.
