OFFICE OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
SPECIAL LOCAL ROAD FUND (SLRF)
POSITION : TWO (2) ENGINEER II
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Civil Engineer
- At least two years experience in road construction (methods and procedures, engineering design and analysis and standard criteria for roads and bridges).
- Knowledgeable on computer operations
SCOPE OF WORK
- Provide technical assistance/advice to LGUs in the preparation of plans, drawings and cost estimates of road maintenance programs and project for funding under SLRF;
- Review plans, drawings and Individual Program of Works (IPWs) submitted by Local Government Units (LGUs) of the regions assigned to him/her to cover funding under SLRF;
- Monitoring on-going implementation of LGU projects and recommend actions to be taken on issues and findings;
- Review and assist in the updating of technical documents/guidelines related to local road management and development and prepares comments/recommendation;
- Validate the LGUs’ performance on road planning and project implementation under the LGUs’ Performance Assessment on Road Service Delivery in his/her assigned coverage regions;
- Prepare analysis of the inventory database of Provincial and City roads of the regions assigned to him/her and provide observations and recommendations to immediate superior for appropriate action;
- Assist in th roll-out to LGUs of the Manual for Local Roads Management and Development and the Guidelines for the Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Gravel Roads.
EXPECTED OUTPUT/DELIVERABLES:
- Monitoring reports on conducted site visits and recommended actions on findings/issues;
- Letters to LGUs on recommended actions on issues, concerns and various request from LGUs;
- Technical Assistance to LGUs in the implementation of road projects;
- Roll-out of the Manual for Local Roads Management and Development and Guidelines for the Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Gravel Roads;
- Analysis of database of local roads in his/her assigned regions;
- Analysis of unit cost of SLRF approved projects for rehabilitation and maintenance;
- Monthly Accomplishment Report.
DURATION OF WORK
The duration of the Contract of Service for Engineer II shall be 6 months from July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 and subject for renewal under SLRF

COMPENSATION
Twenty Four Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Three Pesos (P24,423.00) per month
