In the midst of this evolving and fast pace information economy, which many have dubbed the information revolution, the Bureau of Local Government Development is proud to open a portal where its clients, the local government units, interested individuals like researchers and students or even those from other government agencies can access information and assistance specifically on local governance concerns without having to leave their desks.

Technological developments encourage or even oblige us to see the world as one unit-one which exists through cyber space, and is linked together by computer modems over the vast network known as the information highway.
