A
four (4) day Coaches Workshop for the Members of
the Regional Technical Assistance Teams of the Computer-Based
Administrative Systems Project for LGUs of the Bureau
of Local Government Development (BLGD) was conducted
last April 17-21, 2006 at the Great Eastern Hotel,
Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. The workshop was for
the Luzon region cluster composed of Regions I,
II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V and CAR. Three (3) participants
from each region, one (1) Regional Coordinator and
two (2) Technical Assistance Team , participated
during the workshop. The activity aims to strengthen
the capabilities of Regional Coordinators and members
of the Technical Assistance Teams to effectively
and efficiently respond to the demands of the LGUs
on computer-based administrative systems. Further,
it will enable the participants to install the administrative
systems and provide them the know-how to maintain
the system and do some trouble-shooting.
The
four-day workshop involves teaching the participants
on system installation, data capturing, data encoding,
report generating and system trouble shooting.
A
Regional Re-entry Plan will be submitted to the
BLGD upon approval of the Regional Directors. The
Plan will be the basis of the Bureau’s regional
monitoring and evaluation on the implementation
of the project. It will also the basis to further
enhance/upgrade the systems and development of other
related LGU systems.
The
Bureau expects the Regional Technical Assistance
Team to lead the implementation of the project in
their respective regions. To complement the regional
team, the region is also expected to form a Provincial
Team in the implementation of the project. On the
other hand, the Bureau’s Computerization of
LGUs Administrative System (CLAS) Team will provide
technical support to all regions.

A
three (3) day Coaches Workshop for the Members of
the Regional Technical Assistance Teams of the Computer-Based
Administrative Systems Project for LGUs of the Bureau
of Local Government Development (BLGD) was conducted
last July 3-7, 2006 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Manila.
The workshop was designed for the Visayas and Mindanao
regions composed of Regions VI, VII, VII, IX, X,
XI, XII and CARAGA. Three (3) participants from
each region, one (1) Regional Coordinator and two
(2) Technical Assistance Teams, except regions VIII
and CARAGA which sent one participant each, participated
the workshop. The activity was aimed to strengthen
the capabilities of Regional Coordinators and members
of the Technical Assistance Teams to enable them
to effectively and efficiently respond to the demands
of the LGUs on computer-based administrative systems,
particularly on the installation of the administrative
systems, operations and maintenance of the systems
and do trouble-shooting.
The three-day workshop involved teaching the participants
on system installation, data capturing, data encoding,
report generating and system trouble shooting.

Project (e-LMP), Enhancing Local Revenue Generation
Project (e-LRGP) and Legislative Tracking and Performance

development of other related LGU systems.
The Regional Technical Assistance Teams are expected
to lead the implementation of the three projects
in their respective regions. To complement the regional
team, the region is also expected to form a Provincial
Team in the implementation of the projects. On the
other hand, the Burea's Computerization of LGUs
Administrative System (CLAS) Team will be providing
technical support to all regions.
