BUSINESS PERMITS AND LICENSING SYSTEM
(BPLS)
What
is BPLS?
The
computer-based Business Permits and Licensing System
(BPLS) is based on the 1991 Local Government Code
and customized in accordance to the Local tax Ordinance
of the LGUs. The system is designed to improve the
systems and procedures in tax administration of local
government units. It processes application for business
permit and provides monitoring on the conduct of operation
of businesses within the LGU. The system can be installed
either through a stand-alone PC or through a LAN set-up.
The
application provides support tools to maximize revenue
collection that will ensure the efficient monitoring,
billing, collection and recording of business taxes;
ensure accurate posting of transactions and generation
of timely reports. The system maintains records
of all business taxes and all necessary information
of all registered businesses. It is designed to
automate the computation of business assessment
and to assist the Mayor’s Office in issuing
permits, and the Treasurer’s Office in its
automatic calculation of business taxes and other
fees.
