JMC Roll out cum HM activities completes...

The Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 1 Series of 2007 was approved and issued by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the National Economic and Development (NEDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Finance (DOF) last March 2007.

These four agencies are working in partnership towads harmonization and synchronization of the five themes such as: local planning, investment programming, revenue administration, budgetting and expenditure management at the local levels.

As the oversight agencies, they have recognized the need for a consensus-based body to oversee and sustain the implementation of the JMC. Thus, the four agencies have organized into an inter-agency composite team to perform coordinating functions for implementation of the JMC at all levels of governments. For Region IV-B the oversight agencies had completed the roll-out of JMC orientation or Part I regionwide. The orientation was done hand in hand with Hunger Mitigation (HM) field visit. The Part II or Tools on Technical Procedures was already conducted on the two provinces Marinduque and Romblon.

AUTOMATED BARANGAY OFFICIALS PROFILING SYSTEM INTRODUCTION TO DILG REGION IV-B (MIMAROPA) 

Automated Barangay officials profiling system introduced by NBOO division chief, Blesilda Paule to DILG Regional Office IV-B (MIMAROPA) last October 11, 2007 during the regional team conference held at mimaropa conference room.

The automated system that shall jumpstart databasing of Barangay officials who will be elected in the October 29, 2007 Synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, is being put in place.

This Automated Barangay Officials Profiling System is a pioneering initiative of National Barangay Operations Office (NBOO) in cooperation with the Electronic Data Processing System Service (EDPS) to systematically organize and maintain the most recent, factual, and reliable information about barangay officials in the 41,994 barangays nationwide. This is also to facilitate retrieval , updating and maintenance of the barangay official profiles in the DILG IV-B website. This system has a user-friendly Instructional Guide with template in Microsoft Excel form to capture the name, term, highest educational attainment, sex, civil status, birth date, contact numbers and barangay hall address. The step by step process on how to access the relevant information of Barangay Officials by our Field Officers, is depicted in the manual. Meanwhile, flyers and posters in the form of compact disc & diskettes were distributed to five (5) provinces of MIMAROPA Region thru the Provincial Directors, two (2) Cities and MLGOOs scattered in seventy one (71) Municipalities to increase the level of awareness of everyone on the coming Barangay Election on October 29, 2007

MIMAROPA completes NEO training regionwide

A region completed the Newly Elected Officials (NEO) training. These series of trainings were participated by governors, vice governor, sangguniang panlalawigan and local chief executives, vice mayors and sangguniang bayan with a total of 1693 participants regionwid

 

DILG RIV-B holds MDG training

DILG Secretary .Ronaldo Puno issued a Memorandum Circular no. 2007-63 regarding the Monitoring and Evaluation System on Tracking LGU responses to Millennium Development Goals. (MDGs). Regional training on the accomplishment and administration of monitoring forms for tracking LGU responses to the MDGs for the MDG provincial focal persons was held on September 28, 2007 at DILG RIV-B conference room. The MDG tracking forms were disseminated regionwide. The very first MDG tracking report from the LGUs are expected on October 15, 2007. We can now tabulate the results of our MDG localization efforts.
