The Department of the Interior and Local Government Caraga Administrative Region welcomed Regional Director Rene K. Burdeos in a Turn-over Ceremony last April 29, 2007 at the Regional Office, following the retirement of Regional Director Carlos T. Derecho. The turn-over ceremony was graced by no-less-than the OIC– Undersecretary for Local Government and Assistant Secretary for Field Operations, Hon. Austere A. Panadero, CESO I.
In his acceptance speech, Regional Director Rene K. Burdeos acknowledged the good things that have happened in DILG Caraga like its LGOO II’s that topped in the LGA Assessment. He is also looking forward to work with the people in DILG Caraga.
Regional Director Rene K. Burdeos assumed this new assignment after his one-year-and-four-month stint in DILG Region VII (Central Visayas). He had also served as Regional Director in Region X and IX. He also gained from his experiences as Assistant Regional Director in Regions VII, X, XI and Caraga.
RD Rene K. Burdeos rose from the ranks as a Barangay Development Worker under the DLGCD- Agusan del Norte to the many phases of a local government officer. He then became City Director of DILG Cagayan de Oro and Provincial Director of DILG– Bukidnon.
RD Rene K. Burdeos hails from Buenavista, Agusan del Norte. He finished elementary education in Buenavista Central Elementary School, high school in Buenavista Institute, BBA Major in Management in Silliman University, and became a full-fledged lawyer after graduating from Xavier University.
RD Burdeos is married to Ms. Teresita M. Burdeos and blessed with two beautiful children: Zaira and Alyza Imma Concepcion.
