Pinapapurihan ni Interior at Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas ang isa na namang matagumpay na pagkilos ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na naging dahilan para malansag ang isang shabu laboratory sa Valenzuela City.
Kamakailan ay pinamunuan ng Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit ng Northern Police District (NPD) at Valenzuela Police, ang raid sa sinasabing shabu laboratory sa kahabaan ng Omega Street sa Barangay Rincon, Valenzuela matapos ang dalawang linggong pagmamanman sa mga ito. Maliban sa nakuhang mga gamit sa paggawa ng 15 hanggang 20 kilo ng shabu kada araw ay nasakote din ang anim na Chinese national na umanoy may kinalaman sa illegal drug operation sa bansa.
Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas would look into the concern of Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes over the latter's frustration that the Philippine National Police is not enforcing court orders during a speech delivered in a forum with the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines last Thursday.
"I would look into CJ Sereno's concerns that our local police authorities are not enforcing court orders that include cases involving journalists," Roxas stated.
"We will cooperate with the Supreme Court on this issue," he added.
